Crash Reports

Copies of crash reports are available anytime at the Orleans Police Department.  There is a $5.00 fee for copies of all reports.  Copies of crash reports may also be obtained by mailing $5.00 and a self address stamped envelope to the Orleans Police Department.  When requesting a copy of a crash report by mail as much information as possible should be included in the request.  Examples of such information are:  date of crash, time of crash, location of crash, names of involved parties if known.

Handgun Permit Applications

Handgun permit applications require a fee to be collected prior to the application being completed.  The fee varies depending on the type of permit being applied for and is to be paid to the Orleans Police Department.  Applicants should call the police department and arrange a convenient time for the application to be completed.

* A portion of the local fee is refundable if a license is not issued.  The entire state fee is refundable if no license is issued.

Title Checks

Title checks do not require a fee and may be requested at any time.  Title checks require a special form from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.  Title checks may be performed at your residence or you may come into the police department.
